Last month during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Motorola just unveiled the "Moto G5" and "G5 Plus." The new models, which would be available only in Flipkart.com, would be featuring a full metal finish and Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core chips for faster processing.

According to a report from live mint, the full metal finish and unibody design of the two devices make them similar to the Moto M than their G phone predecessors. The previous models had a plastic body and a removable black cover design.

The two devices, though, would still feature a resistant to splash and dust. In terms of processors, the "Moto G5" is sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, while the "Moto G5 Plus" is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, which gives both devices faster processing.

The report adds that the "G5" has a 5-inch screen with 2,800mAh battery, while the "G5 Plus" has a 5.2-inch screen and a 3,000mAh battery. Missing is the model with a 5.5-inch screen, though it's still possible for Motorola to launch it at a later date. The new devices will also be coming in different variants, depending on the RAM size and internal storage.

For the "Moto G5," the minimum variant will come with a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, while the "Moto G5 Plus" will have 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM. The Economic Times report that Motorola's Moto G5 and G5 Plus is expected to compete against handsets from Xiaomi, Micromax, and Lenovo.

Motorola Mobility India Managing Director Sudhin Mathur said that the two devices are their biggest and the "fastest selling as well." He also said India is the first and one of the biggest market globally that they're launching the "G5 Plus." But for those looking to purchase the device, can only do so through Flipkart.com.

This is also different from its predecessors when it launched with Amazon.in. Check out the hands-on video with the "Moto G5" and "Moto G5 Plus."
