Square Enix will be providing a major update to its mobile game "Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X" next month when it rebrands it to "Kingdom Hearts: Union X." One of the major updates to be provided is the game will have a multiplayer mode to fight the Heartless.

According to a press release published in Gamasutra, the rebranded game will allow players to create teams of six from a matchmaking feature to fight off the hordes of enemies. The multiplayer mode can also be used by players in tackling difficult quests and missions.

The press release said that "Kingdom Hearts: Union X" will also be including emotes and text bubbles. This new feature will go along well with the game's new multiplayer mode and help players communicate with each other during quests and battles.

GameRant reports that the updated mobile game from Square Enix will be available to Android and iOS devices. The game's rebranding launch will happen a year after "Kingdom Hearts: Unchained X" was released.

Square Enix will be celebrating this one-year commemoration by providing in-game presents to players who log-in during the launch. The developer didn't reveal what the reward would be, but it was their way of saying thank you to the fans for their support.

The report said that aside from the multiplayer mode, the updated game will also be having a Theatre Mode. This mode allows players to watch cut scenes again and relieve its drama. The update will also provide players with more options when it comes to customising their avatars

The press release mentions that fans can pre-register for the update at Square Enix's official website. Players who pre-register will be receiving in-game rewards and exclusive smartphone wallpapers.
