After 5 long years following its first film, the "Fairy Tail" franchise is now having its second full-length feature film that will be titled "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry". An official website is published to keep the avid fans on track on the film's progression and on March 1, the website began streaming a 30-second teaser featuring scenes from the film. However, the said teaser not only previewed the film but also an important event in the manga series.

According to Anime News Network, the teaser foreshadowed the nearing end of Hiro Mashima's original manga series. The translated narration in the trailer says "A decade after starting its serialization, creator Hiro Mashima's story, is finally heading towards the climax!" With this being said, fans can expect that an Easter egg regarding the ending of the manga series will be seen on "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry".

The original manga illustrator and creator, Mashima have drawn 193 pages of storyboard for the feature film as well as the key visuals where Natsu is seen with the left side of his body transformed into a dragon. In the poster is the tagline that reads "That power ... is it hope or destruction...?" Mashima will also serve as the Executive Producer for the film while Tatsuma Minamikawa will helm the film under A-1 Pictures.

The movie will revolve around Natsu together with his Fairy Tail friends during their mission in Stella Kingdom to retrieve an ancient artifact known as the Dragon Cry. The gang will encounter some difficulties as they discover that their clients have evil plans as reported by Asia Starz.

The film will see the return of the anime's original cast which includes Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu Dragneel, Aya Hirano as Lucy Heartfilia, Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Yūichi Nakamura to voice Gray Fullbuster, Sayaka Ohara as Erza Scarlet, Satomi Satou as Wendy and Yui Horie as Charles. The film will also feature original characters like King Animus, the king of Stella kingdom and Sonya his aide.

Considering that the manga is actually in its final arc, the movie will certainly preview some amazing things regarding the final chapters of the hit manga series. "Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry" is slated to release in Japanese theaters on May 6, 2017.
