AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile customers who own either a "Samsung Galaxy S7" or "S7 Edge" already have the Android 7.0 Nougat, and now Verizon customers can get the update as well. The company has announced that the roll out started March 6.

Android Authority reported that this update brings a lot of new features to both the "Galaxy S7" and "S7 Edge." Nougat will give users a multi-window support for running two apps side by side, not to mention a battery management feature, and more customization options through "Always On Display."

9to5google said that Verizon is the only one among the big carriers who has not yet updated the S7 family, but that has recently changed. Customers who have "Samsung Galaxy S7" or "S7 Edge" will also get an updated keyboard once they update to Android 7.0 Nougat, as well as improved language predictions.

The Nougat update will also remove Verizon's go90 app from the "Galaxy S7" and "S7 Edge." The company has been moving away from its in-house video streaming service after originally launching it about two years ago. With this update, it's safe to say that the go90 app will soon be dead.

This update will also bring the newest version of Samsung's TouchWiz. Many say that this is Samsung's best skin to date, and Verizon labeled this as "a fresh, simple user interface." If you own a "Samsung Galaxy S7," the software version that you should be seeing is G930VVRU4BQA2, and G935VVRU4BQA2 if you have a "Galaxy S7 Edge."

To check if the Android 7.0 Nougat update is already available, Verizon owners of "Galaxy S7" and "S7 Edge" can go to the Settings of the device. Before doing the update, experts recommend that users should make sure that they have at least 50 percent battery left, and the update should be done while connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
