When the "LG Stylo 2 Plus" was launched in July of last year, it came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and LG promised a Nougat update in the future. Apparently, the phone has already been in the market for some time now, and it did take a while, but it seems like that update could finally be happening soon.

According to Android Headlines, an LG phone with Android Nougat has been spotted at Geekbench - a cross-platform processor benchmark, with a scoring system. The device has a model number LGE LG-K530, and although the listing has not revealed the official name of the device yet, reports claim that the model number seems to indicate that it is the "LG Stylo 2 Plus."

The "LG Stylo 2 Plus" was sold by T-Mobile and MetroPCS in the U.S. and is aimed mostly at the prepaid market. There have been previous reports claiming that the carrier has started rolling Android 7.0 Nougat updates, but it turned out that it was just a false alarm.

GSM Arena said that over a week ago, T-Mobile updated its website wherein it said that the company has started pushing out the Nougat update to "Stylo 2 Plus" on its network, but it turned out that it was not the case because the website later removed all references to Android 7.0 Nougat from the phone's software update page.

The "LG Stylo 2 Plus" sports a 5.7-inch display panel and is powered by the Snapdragon 430 SoC. A lot of the phone's specifications is market-specific, like the display resolution, which varies between (1280 x 720 pixels) and 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels). The device comes with a 2GB or 3GB of RAM alongside either 16GB or 32GB of storage. The Geekbench testing suggests that the Nougat update for the phone is under testing, and that it should be available soon.
