The "Gintama" live-action movie adaptation has been revealing more details about the characters and its casts. Set to premiere on July 14 in Japan, the latest posters for the movie revealed the members of the Shinsengumi and the actors that will be playing them.

According to a report from Anime News Network, the official Twitter account for the live-action movie adaptation shared the new visuals featuring the three members of the Shinsengumi. The visuals show Toshiro Hijikata, Isao Kondo, and Sougo Okita.

The Shinsengumi commander is Isao Kondo, who is played by Kankuro Nakamura. Otaku News reported that lead actor Shun Oguri, who plays Gintoki Sakata, recommended Nakamura for the role of Kondo.

The Vice-Captain of Shinsengumi is Toshiro Hijikata, who will be played by actor Yuuya Yagira. The character is said to be the most popular with girls among the three members.

The last member, Sougo Okita, will be played by Ryo Yoshizawa. Okita is a sharp-tongued young squad captain and Otaku News said the appearance portrayed in the visuals shows the manga character's sadistic side.

The three latest casts to be revealed will be joining the main characters Oguri, Masaki Suda, who plays Shinpachi Shimura, and Kanna Hashimoto, who will play Kagura. Completing the characters and casts are Masaki Okada, who plays Kotaro Katsura, Masami Nagasawa, who plays Tae Shimura, Tsuyoshi Muro's Gengai Hiraga, Nanao as Matako Kijima, and Jiro Sato, who will play Henpeita Takechi.

Shinsuke Takasugi will also be part of the movie, to be played by Tsuyoshi Domoto, as well as Nizo Okada, who will be played by Hirofumi Arai, Ken Yasuda as Tetsuya Murata, and Akari Hayami as Tetsuko Murata.

The "Gintama" live-action movie adaptation is based on the hit manga series "Gintama," which is illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi. The manga began in 2004 and is considered as among the top selling manga in Japan.
