"Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC will be available in spring. Capcom confirmed that the upcoming free DLC would star Chris Redfield.

Capcom has confirmed that, as speculated, it will star the series' veteran and fan-favorite protagonist Chris Redfield. The company made the announcement on its Twitter and Facebook pages and revealed screenshots of the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC. This previously announced upcoming expansion pack for "Resident Evil 7," will be released this spring on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Fans that completed the "Resident Evil 7" are aware that Chris had a cameo in that game. His momentary appearance, however, was cloaked in mystery. In fact, when Chris shows up at the end of the game, he identifies himself simply as Redfield. In the latest reveal of the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC, it appears that he is working with the Umbrella Corporation and several players speculated that it was not actually the Chris Redfield we have known for more than 20 years.

The response to Chris Redfield's appearance in the "Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC from "Resident Evil" fans has been varied. The prevalent point of argument appears to be his character design. Several fans are sounding skeptical that it is actually Chris. In their defense, he looks strangely different in "Resident Evil 7" than he did in the previous games, in which he was considerably muscular, says Polygon.

In one of the three screenshots that Capcom released for "Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC, Chris Redfield is shown standing in front of some massive mass. A helicopter is flying overhead and soldiers were at his side.

The "Resident Evil 7" free Not A Hero DLC is the third extra content for "Resident Evil 7." It followed the paid expansions, "Banned Footage Vol. 1" and "Banned Footage Vol. 2." Both of these paid DLCs are now available on all platforms.
