"Pokemon Go" latest update includes Generation 2 Pokemon and the special items. One of these items is the Metal Coat, which said to be an item to evolve to Scizor, Onix into Steelix.

Getting the special items is not new anymore for the (older)players as it still same rule. Players need to go to the pokeshops (spin them) to get random items.

If you happen to get Metal Coat and you have Scyther, this could be your lucky day. Unlike in the previous "Pokemon" games, evolving Scyther into Scizor is a lot easier in "Pokemon Go" as it can be done from the same in-game menu as you would for evolving any other Pokémon with the standard Candy method so far, according to Euro Gamer.

First, a player needs to get 50 candies and use the metal coat so he can evolve Scyther into Scizor. Metal Coat can be also used for evolving Onix into Steelix.

Other special items are King's Rock, Sun Stone, and Dragon Scale. According to Otaku Kart, the publication that listed down the item and its use, King's Rock with the code .ITEM_KINGS_ROCK, is used to evolve Poliwhirl into Politoed and Slowpoke into Slowking.

Sun Stone with a code .ITEM_SUN_STONE is used to evolve Gloom into Bellossom and Sunkern into Sunflora. Dragon Scale with a code .ITEM_DRAGON_SCALE  used to evolve Seader into Kingdra. Another special item, Upgrade item (.ITEM_UP_GRADE) is used to evolve Porygon into Porygon 2.

Aside from special items, there are new monsters for each egg. BGR posted an image of a chart of each "Pokemon GO" egg. There are three types of eggs: 10 KM, 5 KM, and 2 KM. These labels mean the number of kilometers that a player needs to walk or travel.

The new Pokemon under 10 KM Eggs are Mantine, Larvitar, Mareep, Sudowoodo, Gligar, Militank, Skarmory, and Pineco; 5 KM Eggs new Pokemon are Girafarig,  Elekid, Sneasel, Stantler, Magby, Phanpy, Wooper, Natu, Tyrogue, and Smoochum; 2 KM Eggs includes new Pokemon such as Cleffa,  Slugma, Togepi, Igglybuff, Pichu, Misdreavus, Aipom,  Chikorita, Totodile, Cyndaquil, Ledyba, and Remoraid.
