Lauren and Garyt Walker waited so long to get pregnant. After 953 days, their prayers were answered, and many people say that their IVF success story is nothing short of a miracle.

The Texas couple shared on Facebook about how "amazing" God is after spending over two years praying and hoping for a baby, CBN News said. The Walkers have been celebrated for their openness about their infertility struggle, and in a post, they placed two onesie's inside a circle made of 452 needles - the needles that they used during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.

In her Facebook post, Lauren said that they thought how to announce their twins to the world, but everything that they could think of fell short of doing the twins and themselves justice for every "trial and tribulation" that they have been through, Fox News reported. "Taking out these needles by the handful to take this photograph was... surreal," Lauren added.

Lauren also said that they had two rounds of IVF and three failed embryo transfers. But she said that the hardest part of the journey wasn't the IVF, but the darkest hour was going through an entire cycle and losing embryo after embryo. She said that they decided to share their story in the hopes of helping other couples that are also struggling.

Lauren and Garyt are expecting a boy and a girl in August, and they will name them Duke and Diana. Their Facebook post had the words: "Worth the wait, and wait and wait and wait." Lauren said that their faith in God and the strength of their marriage gave them the courage to try again. "We have heard stories of how going through infertility can really cause wear and tear in a marriage," she said.

But last Christmas, they finally got an answer to their prayers. They were able to announce to their friends and family that they were expecting. "Life happens the way that it's supposed to happen," Lauren concluded.
