It is going to be a political theme for "American Horror Story" Season 7, and Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the FX anthology series will revolve around the 2016 elections. The show's creator and mastermind revealed that the upcoming episode will have a political flavor ot it.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Murphy teased how the upcoming series will be on Wednesday night's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, saying that the upcoming season will be about the November election. He said though, that he doesn't have a title yet, but the season will begin shooting in June and it is "going to be about the election that we just went through." When asked if US President Donald Trump will be a character, Murphy only said, "maybe."

Chicago Tribune said that it has already been confirmed that "American Horror Story" veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will return for the next season. A lot of fans were surprised when Murphy revealed the next season's theme, when during Season 6, the mysterious teasers were not made public until the season premiere.

How will the series pull a political theme off? Reports say that it's not going to be hard, knowing that the show was able to do scary stories from any place imaginable. But this will be the first time that it will involve a US election.

Murphy has previously teased that the new cycle will take place in modern times. In October, he said that there will be a crossover season of the series at some point, and the character from "Murder House" and "Coven" will be linked.

A two-season renewal has been given to "American Horror Story", which takes it until Season 9. At the time of the renewal, CEO John Landgraf said that fans would not know about the Season 7 premise until the premiere date, but Murphy's reveal could just be an innovative strategy.
