It was on Sunday, February 12, when Adele performed her song "Hello" at the opening of Grammys Awards Show. She has won the song of the year, record of the year, as well as the best solo pop performance of the year while beating Beyoncé over it.

Despite the rumors that racism was the reason behind her winning, Adele even thought of Beyoncé to have won the album of the year in the Grammys. The British pop star was in tears as she accepted the ceremony's top awards on that Sunday night. She was able to shine the spotlight over the woman she said she has loved since she was only 11 years old, CNN reported.

Adele further added that Beyoncé was the artist of her life and her album "Lemonade" was just so massive. Most of the fans, particularly the Beyhive and for many other critics really believed as well that Beyoncé's album was of a much creative masterpiece.

On the other hand, the book author Kevin Powell also commented on the "Lemonade" album. He said that it has made a lot of people uncomfortable since it was so political, spiritual, and unapologetically black and as well as brutally honest over love, self-love, trust, and betrayal. Further, he also added that Adele's song was safe and uncontroversial and neither the Grammys voters will know it in particular when picking for the winner.

As per Forbes, with the raging rumors, critics almost had universally hailed Beyoncé's masterpiece for its complete resistance over adhering to any one genre. However, while some other critics were Grammys voters, the critical approval from journalist doesn't mean much when it comes to picking who wins. Grammys were voted by creative people in the industry who make their own albums as well like artists, songwriters, engineers, producers and not just ordinary critics.
