Good news to "Grey's Anatomy", "Scandal", and "How to Get Away With Murder" fans - ABC has given early renewals to these series. All three shows are executive produced by Shondaland's Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.

Variety reported that ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey said that "Grey's Anatomy", "Scandal", and "How to Get Away With Murder" are consistent in keeping viewers on the edge of their seats and wanting more. "I'm thrilled to bring back these shows and the OMG moments that come with them."

"Grey's Anatomy" will return for Season 14, "Scandal" for Season 7, and "How To Get Away With Murder" for Season 4. These series are part of the studio's TGIT drama lineup. Entertainment Weekly reported that "Scandal" was delayed until midseason to give way to Kerry Washington's pregnancy - which means that TGIT was not part of the fall lineup. A new series titled "Notorious" will be aired in "Scandal's" timeslot.

Dungey previously admitted about being nervous over postponing "Scandal's" return. "Scandal is a big hit show for us and nobody likes to go into their first fall season as president of entertainment without one of the biggest guns in their arsenal," Dungey said. "But, obviously we were thrilled for Kerry and her family and that's all good news."

"Grey's Anatomy" still ranks as ABC's No. 1 show among Adults 18-49 and the No. 3 broadcast drama overall. It's return for midseason on January 26 was the show's most watched telecast in two-and-a-half years. Dungey said that they are thrilled with the way that TGIT came back in January. How the next season will be like will depend on a lot of things, including how the Paul Davies law show. It feels very on-brand, Dungey said, and it can be easily seen as a part of TGIT, but it can also stand on its own.
