After a number of controversial back and forth confirmation and denial, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is finally going to be released on the Nintendo Switch for real. However, on top of the portable epic adventure of being the Dragonborn, something else sets the Switch version to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and even the PC version.

Apparently, the visuals of "Skyrim" for the Nintendo Switch isn't going to be the same visual cake that it is with the Special Edition as per Gearnuke. However, it isn't similar to the previous generations of the PlayStation and Xbox as well and it even has a graphical advantage over the original PC release.

For graphical reference, Gearnuke posted two separate images, which can be viewed here (Original PC) version) and here (Nintendo Switch version) showing some significantly increased vegetation and even a higher dynamic range for a more realistic feel of the scenery. This makes the "Skyrim" for Switch some a toned down version of the recently released "Special Edition."

This clears up the speculation regarding the game release being similar to the standard console version as there was no mention of "Special Edition" in the recent Nintendo Switch Presentation Trailer. Fortunately for those wondering whether the need of graphic-enhancing mods can't be done with the Switch don't have to worry too much about it. The game will still look and feel modern by the current generation standards.

The publisher of the game, Bethesda, was once criticized over last year's controversy about "Skyrim" not getting released for the Switch, despite appearing on the console's official video reveal (via Gamespot.) Fortunately, after all the drama and speculation, the game got a place in the Nintendo Switch.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was originally released back in 2011 and is still widely played on the PC due to thousands of community mods. The Special Edition was released last year and this introduced features tailored for the current-generation platforms like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version's release date is yet to be confirmed however.
