A lot of comic book and movie fans all over the world wonder what it would be like to live life as Batman. Ben Affleck knows this since he is the most recent actor to don the iconic cape and cowl of Gotham's "Caped Crusader," but he reveals that it is not as easy as it looks.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Ben Affleck reveals more information on what could be causing his solo "Batman" film's delay. According to the actor, it has everything to do with "being Batman," especially when it comes to wearing the suit.

The "Pearl Harbor" star says he wants to modify the suit so it would be easier for him to put on and take off. "When you are in it, you can be sweating, crazy and exhausted, do your part and walk away. But when you're a director, you can't walk away. You have to be there for everybody", the actor said. He also points out that one of the main challenges of portraying Batman will be trying to find a suit that is more comfortable.

With these comments, some fans can't help but to think back to Christopher Nolan's 2008 blockbuster hit "The Dark Knight" where Bruce Wayne - then portrayed by Christian Bale - asks his old friend Lucius Fox for a new suit because of how difficult it was for him to move in the suit he wore in "Batman Begins." He got his wish for a suit that granted him more mobility, but at the cost of leaving him susceptible to sustaining more damage from combat.

Per Cinema Blend, the reason for the costume swap in the Christopher Nolan "Batman" movies was due to storyline reasons, but in the case of Ben Affleck it has to do more with comfort. Fans have to understand that he is not going to be in the same situation that he found himself in when he was filming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." He will not be able to get the same kind of breaks that other actors get to enjoy whenever the cameras stop rolling.

As a director, he has more responsibilities on his plate. It will be his responsibility to make sure that all of the equipment is working correctly and all of the cast and crew members are on the same page. It can be kind of difficult to try and put in some good work off-camera when you're sweating profusely, so Ben Affleck's reasons to want to modify the "batsuit" are justifiable. Ben Affleck's solo "Batman" movie has yet to be given an official release date, but rumors were circulating that its production could be delayed up until mid-summer.
