While viewers are waiting for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," "Spider-Man: Homecoming," and "Thor Ragnarok" this year, the location for filming the "Avengers: Infinity War" has been leaked and it seemed like the team is heading to Scotland.

Key scenes in the movie will be shot in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and the Highlands with production to start on February 28, lasting six months or more. The filming of this £400 million blockbuster has industry leaders see to the boosting of Scotland's tourism industry by £10 million or higher.

The Telegraph reports that the Scottish Labour culture spokesperson Lewis MacDonald has said, "The fact such a successful franchise will be filmed in Scotland will excite the fans but also provide a welcome boost to the economy." MacDonald added, "I hope the producers take advantage of the skills people in Scotland have to offer, so as many local people as possible can find work and Scotland's fantastic creative community can go from strength to strength."

Two iconic movies have filmed in Scotland which boosted its tourism - Mel Gibson's Braveheart and Brad Pitt's World War Z that has generated more than £3 million in the country after it has been shown in cinemas for two weeks. Avenger: Infinity War will be the largest film production to be ever made in Scotland.

Set to return for the most anticipated film in 2018 are Samuel L Jackson, Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and other Marvel cast members for the installment. The movie is set to release on May 2018 and the sequel in the year after.
