There wasn't a lot of buzz about tablets and laptops in 2016 and not even big names like Apple or Samsung gave much emphasis to them. However, the upcoming CES 2017 event gives consumers a lot of tablet and laptop goodness to look forward to next year.

A recent post from Pocket-Link highlights some of the unconventional and underrated tablet brands like the ones from Lenovo or even Xiaomi. However, for those who haven't tried exploring these brands, these tablets might just blow some bigger names out of the water one way or the other.

One particular company is the Lenovo that is reported to be announcing not just one, but nine laptops next year at CES 2017. All the models to be announced are powered by Intel Core i Processors, Precision Touchpad, MilSpec and Windows 10.

Though none of these laptops carry something like an NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU or an AMD RX 480, the price expectations are friendly and the additional features like 32GB RAM, IR Camera and awful amounts of SSD storage is present. Something that doesn't come cheap with bigger names. All not going past the $1,300 and go as low as $600.

There are also rumors about Xiaomi, revealing one of their new upcoming laptops as well at CES 2017, though there's no solid proof yet as to what models, specs or prices are to be expected. Some reports also go around the speculation of a hybrid laptop/tablet setup.

Going over to the more well-known brands, Apple is expected to reveal the much-awaited iPad Pro 2 as per Tech Radar's report. This could even be one of the most talked about tablet that could potentially make its appearance at CES 2017.

Reports say that the iPad Pro 2 will be powered by an upgraded A10X chipset, something more powerful than the recently released iPhone 7. Reports also say that it will come with the usual variations of 32, 128 and 256 GB storages.

However, the iPad Pro 2's price is still unclear, but analysts say that it will be somewhere around $600 or so. The bigger 12.9-inch models are believed to getting price tags somewhere around $1,100.

Finally, Samsung might be attempting to reclaim its glory with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 after the shame caused by the fiery Note 7 events. Reports indicate that there will also be 8 and 9.7-inch variants of the Galaxy Tab S3 and will also be powered by S7's Exynos 8890 chipset.

It may not be potentially faster and better than any upcoming or rumored iPad, but Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 was popular with its very capable specs. The same thing could also be the case with what is rumored to be a $399 tablet that consumers are about to see at CES 2017.
