If you are someone who loves to travel the world but are low on funds, this could be your chance. Discovery Channel recently announced that they are looking for a Discovery Intern who will have the opportunity to travel the world for free while documenting their adventures.

NZ Herald said that the contest is open to all New Zealand and Australian residents aged from 18 to 30 years. The winner will get a 39-day global internship holiday, which will begin in Sydney, Australia, and taking in Singapore, Malaysia, England, Scotland, Iceland, the United States of America and Italy. The lucky intern will then stay in each location for up to eight days, while also visiting some of Discovery's overseas headquarters.

The qualification is easy - you just have to be someone who loves to travel and who is good at documenting your adventures, Stuff reported. The trip is for Discovery Channel's blog, "Heaps Of Stuff", which will soon be launched.

Discovery's internship has a total value of A$30,000. The winner will stay in a 2 to 4-star accommodation at each location and basic travel insurance is also included. The intern will be given a daily spending allowance of A$100, plus a smart device worth up to A$1000 with A$500 of data.

Contest participants need to upload their best photo of a place that they have discovered during their travels - local or international travel. Entries close on Friday, January 13, 2017, after which, Discovery Channel will choose 50 finalists.

Entries with the most votes during the first round will be given a new photo and blog challenge, and public voting will narrow down the entries. Five contestants will move forward to the final round on March 3, 2017. A judging panel will then interview them to determine who's going to become the Discovery Intern.
