Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, will be coming up with a new album soon. This will be a follow up to 2014's St. Vincent.

In an interview for the February 2017 issue of Guitar World where she's set to be featured, the singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist has revealed that the upcoming album, which has not been named yet, will have a significant change in her sound, and is set to be released in spring.

Clark said that this new album is "the deepest, boldest work" that she has ever done. "I feel the playing field is really open for creative people to do whatever you want, and that risk will be rewarded-especially now that we have such high stakes from a political and geo-political standpoint," she added."

Dressed in a loose shirt/dress with a bikini painted on it, Clark said that the outfit choice for the Guitar World shoot was caused by a Google search of women on the magazine's covers that feature women in bikinis while holding guitars: "I really saw was girls in bikinis holding guitars like they've never held a guitar before," she explains. "I started thinking about that and just wanted to make my own absurdist comment on it. I couldn't really let it slide without poking a bit of fun and taking the piss a little!"

The "Digital Witness" singer has been very busy doing a lot of new different projects, one of which is on a Sundance short film "Come Swim," where she took care of the score. The movie was directed by rumored partner Kristen Stewart, whom she started dating after ending a relationship with model/actress Cara Delevigne.

She also had her directorial debut in "XX," a horror film anthology in collaboration with other talented women, that tells "four deadly tales by four killer women."
