Indonesian authorities have eliminated three suspected Indonesian terrorists in Java believed to be operating inside the city. Australia and other western countries have elevated their travel advisories after a fourth suspected terrorist was found with an improvised explosive device. Authorities believe the suspects are to plant the bomb in the national capital Bali as part of its "Christmas" attack.

According to News.com.au, Indonesian counter-terrorist squad raids have found a man known as "Adam." The man led them to a house in Babakan Village located in Indonesia's Southern Tangerang near Jakarta. The squad found bombs and shot dead the three men as they tried to attack.

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advice for Indonesia that Western tourists could be attacked during the season of Christmas and New Year gatherings in the country. Travelers in Indonesia are advised to remain vigilant and cautious especially those staying in Bali.

In Britain, the British Foreign Office had also urged Britons in Indonesia to remain at heightened caution when attending Christmas and New Year gatherings. The advice said the possible types of attacks could include "suicide bombing and small-arms fire."

Terrorist attack advisories also came for Germany after a Christmas market attack by a man driving a truck that killed 12 people. In central Berlin on Monday night, the truck crashed into people gathered in wooden huts that serve mulled wine and sausages around Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The country remains on high alert from the bomb threat in Cologne station, according to The Mirror.

Indonesia is known as a summer capital for most Westerners. But aside from the lush tropics of South Asia are other great summer locations that are relatively safer given the government travel advisories today. Athens is an amazing summer destination with boutique hotels and lush beaches. The Bahamas will be a classic example of improved beach life.
