Microsoft Deals for Surface Pro 4 is everywhere which manifest that the release of the 2-in-1 PC tablet, Surface Pro 5 is just around the corner. Although it wasn't released along with the new Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio, many are still anticipating for the device especially that different rumors about its features emerged online.

Surface Pro 5 is presumed to come in two variants wherein the top-tier version has a 4K screen display resolution while the entry-level version has a 2K resolution. According to Kitguru, the top-tier one will feature a 16GB of RAM.

The Surface Pen, which comes with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet, will now automatically charge wirelessly once it is attached to the tablet. The upgrade is a big plus since the existing Surface Pen merely use alkaline AAAA batteries, PC Advisor reported.

It is also said the Surface Pro 5 will no longer feature a USB 3.0 port. Instead, it will have a USB-C port which can be used for charging. It might also feature a fingerprint sensor on its improved screen.

Previously, it was rumored that the device will use a Skylake chipset but recent speculations reveal that its processor will be an Intel Kabylake. It will also sport 16GB of RAM and 512GB on-board internal storage. There are also rumors that it might use an AMD ARM processor which will give it a longer battery life.

Surface Pro 5 will also possibly run with the latest Microsoft operating system Windows 10 Redstone 3. The next generation 2-in-1 laptop is also considered as the competitor of Apple iPad Air and MacBook Air.

As for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date, it is possible to be out in the spring of 2017 along with its big Windows 10 update known as the Creators Update.
