Urban Outfitters, Toys R Us Are Selling NES Classic Edition This Christmas

Gamers who are looking for classic games are in luck. NES Classic Edition is now available at Urban Outfitters and Toys R Us. This is certainly just in time for the holidays.

If you are looking for an epic gift to give your significant other, friend or relative, the Nintendo's classic gaming console is the perfect gift this Christmas 2016. The original 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System is one of the best-selling game consoles of all time. Gamers can get an updated version of this popular gaming system. According to Fortune, Urban Outfitters is offering NES in a flash sale on its on its website for $59.98 on Tuesday.

Toys R Us is also offering limited stocks of NES Classic alongside "Hatchanimals" for their Great Big Christmas Sale on Dec. 4 to Dec. 10. and holiday catalog. "Our stores are receiving shipments of both holiday must-haves to support and we expect that when stores open at 8 a.m., they will sell very quickly." a Toys R U spokeswoman told CNBC. The Toys R Us price for the classic console is $60.

There is still no news whether other discount retailers such as Target and Walmart will replenish their supplies on the popular game. But, Target spokesman told CNBC that Target is doing its best to meet consumers great demand and restock their inventory throughout the holiday season.

Though the updated NES Classic Edition is quite identical to its original version, it is a bit smaller and comes with cool new features. It still comes with one "classic" NES controller but it also highlights HDMI connectivity. This gives it a seamless functionality and display on smart TVs. It also features 30 pre-installed games such as the much-loved "Super Mario Bros." the original version of "Final Fantasy" and ever-popular "Legend of Zelda." Gamers can also enjoy the classic game "Donkey Kong" and "Metroid," to name a few.
