The decade-long run of CBS show "The Big Bang Theory" may soon come to an end. Though it has been officially renewed for an 11th season, the world-famous sitcom faces cancellation due to issues with stars Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco.

With the show's tenth season in its mid-way point, fans everywhere were dismayed when show executives refused to respond to questions regarding another season. However, plot leaks and rumors have set the eleventh season of The Big Bang Theory to air in mid September 2017.

However, before the impending season was confirmed, several rumors surfaced in regards to the show's possible cancellation. According to Movie Pilot, several issues such as pay raises and personal disagreements between cast members have threatened to end the long-running sit-com.

Considered to be the television series with the highest-paid actors and actresses, TBBT stars Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and John Galecki have reportedly earned a hefty $1 million per episode. However, the three show front-runners have allegedly had debates with the show's executives about whether or not this sum was enough.

In addition, Kaley Cuoco, also known as TBBT's Penny, has expressed her desire to take a break from acting to focus on her marriage, family, and personal life. However, she has been confirmed for the show's eleventh season, having signed a contract alongside her TV husband, Galecki.

The show remains in murky waters, however, due to continuing debates with Jim Parsons. Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper, is rumored to be preparing for a different set of television shows. Although there has been no confirmation for these rumors, Parsons has not yet signed a contract for the show's eleventh season.

Big Bang Theory fans continue to hold their breath until the show officially announces an air date for the 2017 season and are especially awaiting the moves of Parsons. However, in an interview with USA Today, the TBBT star has stated that talks of ending the show seem premature to him.

Parsons and his co-stars have expressed their fondness and attachment to their characters, stating that they have not yet grown tired of playing them. Parsons has also stated that the inspired work of the show's writers continue to make the role pleasurable for him.

Plot leaks and spoilers regarding the eleventh season have surfaced on the internet but the world still awaits official confirmation. Having aired the tenth episode for season 10 later than initially expected, the season's eleventh episode is set to air on December 15, 2016.
