Planning for a trip to Beijing can be as fun as the trip itself. There is always something exciting about learning new things to help make your travel fun and interesting. Beijing has been one of the top tourist destinations over the past few years.

According to China Daily, Beijing's tourism revenue reached $71 billion in 2015 alone. China has foreign visitors all year round. However, China National Tourism Administration noted that there is an increase of inbound tourist in December 2015 in Beijing.

But not a lot of people are familiar on what they should prepare for their Beijing trip.Whenever traveling to a new country, it is always important to pack lightly but intelligently. So, bring only what you need.

Prepare your travel documents.  Foreign tourists visiting China needs a valid passport and appropriate visa. You need to make sure that all these are ready weeks before your scheduled trip.

Do not forget to bring copies of your important materials. You can store backup documents via email or through your chosen online storage. It really helps a lot in case some of your documents go missing during your trip.

Make sure to carry enough money for your trip; but avoid putting them in one place. You can divide them in different wallets or pockets. Remember there's a limit to the amount of money you are going to bring in a country. For China, tourists are permitted to bring $ 5,000 or 20,000 CNY. Any amount above this should be declared to China customs along with your supporting documents.

Prepare weather-appropriate clothes and gear. It's always important to check the climate of your country of destination. This will give you an idea of what kinds of clothes you can bring.

Spring time (March- May) has temperatures between 50 - 71.6 F. Clothing suggestions for this season would be long sleeved shirts, jackets, sport coats, wool jackets, and comfortable walking shoes. Summertime (June - August) has a temperature above 71.6 F, which is why it's best to wear t-shirts, short sleeved shirts, sandals and caps during this time.

Just like spring season, autumn (September to November) usually has a temperature range of 50- 71.6 F. Travelers are recommended to wear jackets, sports coat, light woolen jackets, rain wear, sweater and comfortable walking shoes. However, temperature drops below 50F during winter season, which is why overcoats, linen coats, thick woolen sweaters are highly suggested.

Don't forget to bring your sun block and hat or caps during hot seasons. Likewise with your umbrella and rain coat during wet seasons. It is always helpful to bring appropriate accessories and avoid overpacking.
