After launching a $2,850 art supply kit and a collection of over-the-top engagement rings, the Kaiser of fashion has more up his sleeve.

Karl Lagerfeld, legendary fashion designer, is translating his famous aesthetic into a chain of boutique style hotels, residential properties, restaurants and private clubs, according to Yahoo! Karl's newest project is a collaboration with Brandmark Collective BV, established in 2015 with 25 hotels worldwide.

The company aims to "broaden Karl Lagerfeld's comprehensive lifestyle experience", according to Karl Lagerfeld CEO Pierpaolo Righi. Tony Kurz, CEO of Brandmark, on other hand, says that the new development "celebrates the designer's unique talent and approach to fashion and lifestyle."

Karl is no stranger to hospitality design, having designed the Hotel Metropole Montecarlo in Monaco, Sofitel So in Singapore, and two suites at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris. According to Vogue, Karl's biggest hospitality project to date is the design of a six-star hotel in Macau, part of the Grand Lisboa group.

Other fashion designers known to have branched out to hotels and hospitality are Giorgio Armani, Bulgari, Versace and Baccarat. Karl's edge lies in the fact that he lives in hotels most of the time, being extremely busy and traveling all the time.

He currently designs for two major fashion houses, as well as his own label. He is also undertaking several other projects such as developing a brand based on his cat, a tie-up with US-based apparel company G-III, designing wedding rings and art kits, conceptualizing Diet Coke cans, and directing Magnum ice cream commercials.

It seems like Karl's quest for world domination is nearly complete, dipping his toe into every aspect of design he can. Coming from a highly graphic aesthetic and strong design purpose, the world can look always look forward to something bigger, better and more unique.
