Britney Spears' career is pretty good now which is reflected by the release of her new album and her recent appearance and performance on VMAs. But then, Lifetime is making an unauthorized movie about her life and the pop star is reportedly not happy about it.

"Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic, nor does it have her blessing," a representative of Spears told People.

Moreover, Lifetime praised the pop singer and tagged her as a "timeless force in entertainment."

As for the cast, Yahoo! reveals Nathan Keyes will portray Spears' ex Justin Timberlake and sport the star's infamous aughties curls. On the other hand, Natasha Bassett of George Clooney's recent film Hail, Caesar! will portray Spears herself.

In addition to the casting, other famous roles have been revealed. Clayton Chitty has signed on as Spears' other famous ex Kevin Federline and father of her two children - Sean Preston and Jayden. Kelly McCabe will play as Spears' childhood friend and husband of 55 hours, Jason Alexander.

The cast outside the pop star's love life includes Peter Benson who will portray Spears' longtime manager Larry Rudolph; Markian Tarasuik will be Wade Robson, her former backup dancer; and Nicole Oliver and Matthew Harrison will act as Spears' parents, Lynn and Jamie Spears, respectively. Tamara Thors will be played by Jenna Dewan-Tatum, a back-up dancer for Timberlake's bank 'NSYNC.

The network revealed in August that the biopic, Britney, will follow the star's ascent from her Louisiana upbringing to stardom, and will focus on some of her personal struggles.

Britney is directed by Leslie Libman, written by Anne-Marie Hess, and produced by Asylum Entertainment, and is due out in 2017.
