Last Monday, October 5, while some parts of the globe were celebrating Labour Day and International Children's Day, other countries, including Singapore and Slovenia, were celebrating Children's Day.

According to Google's Doodles Archive, Slovenia also celebrated Children's Day. Furthermore, Google Doodles said:

Today, around three hundred and fifty thousand children will open their eyes for the very first time.
They'll arrive from all over, but will eventually learn a universal language: one of surprise, fascination, fear, joy and hope. And as they grow, they'll use these emotions to teach us how to live, and to see our lives through newer, fresher eyes. This is why we honor Children's Day - to raise awareness about the possibilities within each and every young person, and how they can improve our world, and ourselves. The potential of children is limitless. Let's help them achieve their best, so that we, as a society, can achieve ours.

Children's Day is recognized on different days in many places around the world to honour and give thanks to the children globally. For some of these countries, it was celebrated last October 5.

According to the United Nations report, '[t]he United Nations' (UN) Universal Children's Day, which was established in 1954, is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide. UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, promotes and coordinates this special day, which also works towards improving children's welfare.'

Furthermore, the report states that the 'Universal Children's Day is part of the work carried out by UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF's logo consists of an image of a mother and child, a globe, olive branches and the word "UNICEF". All parts of the logo are in UN's blue color, although it may be presented in white on a blue background.'
