Charlie Hunnam is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However Jax Teller of "Sons of Anarchy" didn't die. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Hunnam is just fine.

Rumors started swirling this week that Charlie Hunnam, who stars as Jackson, or Jax Teller on the hit show, "Sons of Anarchy," died in a car crash. Many saw a link on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter that said that "Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam dead at 34." The googonline link said "Early Wednesday afternoon, Charlie Hunnam was ejected from his vehicle in a single vehicle accident in Norfolk..."

However when readers click the link to find out more details, they find that it is nothing more than a hoax. When they click on the link, they get a meme that says "You Got Owned!" and viewers are given the option to share the hoax themselves, which is why it is becoming so widespread.

Charlie Hunnam is just fine. He's currently filming the Season 7 of Sons of Anarchy. However not everyone that came across the prank new it was fake right away. Some took to Twitter to question and mourn the loss of the actor. Some examples of those tweets include:
"Charlie hunnam died?????"
"If Charlie Hunnam is really dead I might just cry #jaxisababe"

The new prank hoaxes have become a trend on social media recently. The same exact "You Got Owned!" page has popped up for recent hoaxes about the death of Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln and some have said that popular television shows have been cancelled, like Game of Thrones.

There are also many other sources that Internet trolls use to start hoaxes like fake Twitter accounts and death hoax generators like Global Associated News. Unless credible news sources report on such deaths, don't believe everything you see on the Internet.
