Norman Reedus  is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the "Walking Dead" actor didn't die. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Reedus is just fine.

Reports started swirling that Reedus died in an accident. A link was going around social media sites like Facebook saying the actor died in a car crash.  The link showed a photo of the actor. However when people click the link, it brings users to a FakeShare site that says "This is a prank You got owned!" It is not clear if any of the links led to an actual article with more details about the supposed death.

Regardless, no reliable news source confirmed the death of Reedus because he didn't die. While the hoax was going on, the actor uploaded a photo to Instagram of what appears to be an airplane television showing himself on The Walking Dead, hinting that Reedus is in the air and nowhere near a possible car crash.

Despite the rumor being nothing more than a cruel hoax, many took to Twitter to mourn and question the loss of the actor. Some examples of tweets include:

"DONT MESS WITH MY EMOTIONS NORMAN REEDUS CAN'T BE DEAD"

"Norman Reedus is dead..RIP my favourite walking dead actor"

Some users quickly realized the hoax was a fake and took to Twitter to let their friends and even Reedus know about the hoax. Some of those tweets include:

"I saw something on fb saying that Norman Reedus died and I had like 62 heart
attacks. Fortunately it was fake omg :("

"@wwwbigbaldhead rumor is in the uk u have died!!! Glad this true#hoax#

"@wwwbigbaldhead did you know that you died? Lol you really are the star of Walking Dead aren't you? Hahaha pic.twitter.com/ck5F6AXAHB"

Reedus has not responded to the death hoax as of yet.
