Now You Can Buy a Photographic Memory for Under $300

Feb 25, 2014 01:35 PM EST

With CCTV and constant use of camera and video phones, there is little of our life that is not being documented somewhere. If you still feel like you're missing out, a photographic memory can be yours for just $279.

The narrative clip, a tiny clip-on camera, automatically takes a silent picture every 30 seconds and is clipped to your lapel.

The clip is a tiny, lightweight square about the size of a stamp, but it is capable of shooting 5 megapixel images. As soon as you clip it to your lapel, the tiny camera starts taking a photo every 30 seconds, and then you connect it to a computer to see the photos. The sister narrative app then selects what it thinks are your 'best memories' of the day.

Narrative's founder, Martin Kallstrom, says he feels there is a real need for his app.

"We often don't capture some simple or serendipitous moments because we don't see their significance at the time. What I wanted to achieve was to have a tool to make it possible for me to document stuff I experience while I experience them, without taking me out of that moment. You have special moments in your life where you want to stay fully in the moment."
