Coachella 2017: Drake Turned To Instagram To Hit Back Against Racial Descrimination

Drake was present at the annual music event Coachella over the weekend to perform with Selena Gomez's boyfriend, The Weeknd. However, instead of a memorable experience, he was angered because of an alleged "racial profiling" in a high-end club within the area.

The "Hotline Bling" rapper turned to social media to lambast the club as per Independent. He wrote, "The most offensive place I have ever stayed at in my life with staff who pick and choose who they are going to accommodate based on racial profiling." He was referring to The Madison Club which is not in any way affiliated with the festival.

The post which drew more than 5,000 comments was deleted but almost 36 million followers got the chance to see the post. With his huge followers, the club owners ought to do damage control.

One of those who posted their comments was the representative of the club itself saying, "We are trying to get this issue fixed as soon as possible. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority and for you to experience such a thing is embarrassing for us." It has promised to issue a formal apology to the public and will investigate the incident.

Pulse reported that despite the traumatic experience Drake gave a remarkable performance. His long-time love Rihanna was also present at the event. He joined Future on the Coachella stage to the surprise of the crowd while his fellow rapper, The Weeknd performed at the Nav's set. He performed with his great hits like "Fake Love," "Gyalchester," and "Jumpman."

Beyonce canceled her Coachella gig because of her pregnancy and Lady Gaga took over. Other performers were DJ Snake, Tory Lanez, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Wale, 2Chainz, Lorde, Migos, and Asap Ferg. The second weekend of the desert music festival will be from April 21-23, 2017.
