"Grand Theft Auto VI" is still far from happening even though its predecessor "Grand Theft Auto V" has been round since September 2013. Thanks to Rockstar Games, the hit action-adventure game is still dominating the market because of the regular updates that the developers are putting on "GTA Online." In fact, one of their upcoming update will feature a nostalgic tribute to the game that started it all.

For those who don't know the history of the franchise, "GTA" started off back in 1997 on MS-DOS, Microsoft Windows, and Sony Playstations. In the game, players are required to perform assassination, robberies and other crimes for their respective gang which is based on fictional cities in US. The game featured a top-down camera view, unlike the third person perspective that we all know.

In the latest update titled "GTA Online Tiny Racers," Rockstar is bringing back the classic top-down camera view nostalgia into the game as reported by Engadget. Aside from the change of perspective, the update will feature colorful race cars that are seemingly familiar with the stunt-oriented racing game, "Micro Machines." The goal is to win and survive the contest in a "Death Race" fashion where the car is equipped with weapon upgrades to obliterate competitors.

According to Gamespot, the details regarding the update are still limited but the only thing that's been certain is that the update will arrive on April 25. "Tiny Racers" will be available on multiple gaming platforms including PS4, Xbox One and PC. Yesterday, Rockstar Games released a video trailer that informed the fans of the upcoming update.

Rockstar Games is doing a great job of keeping the fans interested in "GTA 5" with the clever use add-ons in the game. Hopefully, the developers will see the same success in the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" that is slated to arrive this fall. Meanwhile, let us just indulge ourselves in the nostalgic feeling that the "Tiny Racers" will bring us in the near future.
