After two successful seasons, "Voltron" is expected to return on Netflix for Season 3, and the latest reports suggest that a poster at this year's New York Toy Fair revealed the release date for the third season of "Voltron." Additionally, extra content from Season 2 will reportedly be released prior to the premiere of Season 3.

A report from Den of Geeks suggests that a poster spotted at the toy fair revealed details about "Voltron" Season 3. The show will allegedly return with 13 new episodes in September 2017, but no specific date has been announced.

The report also reveals that the series has a 78-episode commitment with Netflix which means that "Voltron" is guaranteed at least six full seasons on Netflix counting the premiere movie as three episodes. The commitment is expected to have a positive effect on the storytelling of the upcoming seasons. It should be noted however that until we get confirmation from Netflix, these reports must be taken with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, 10 episodes of the original "Voltron" with additional content will be available for streaming on Netflix in March. No details with regards to the content have been released.

"Voltron: Legendary Defender" is a reboot of a cartoon series from the 1980s. Its story revolves around a group of pilots flying giant mechanical lions to defend their planet against evil alien forces.

The voice cast for "Voltron" include Steven Yuen from "The Walking Dead," Jeremy Shada from "Adventure Time," Josh Keaton from "The Spectacular Spider-Man," and Bex Taylor-Klaus from "The Killing." The show is produced by Dreamworks with Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery as executive producers. Both Dos Santos and Montgomery worked on "Avatar: Legend of Korra," another popular cartoon series.
