In the midseason premiere of "Arrow," viewers are again shown the last moments before the December episode ended with Laurel Lance alive and well. The episode goes on with the team wondering who this Laurel is, given that she has died in season 4.

Comicbook reports that Laurel explained that she was brought back by the Legends. And even though they are happy to see her, Felicity is suspicious of who Laurel is. She orchestrated several events to ensure that she is the real Black Canary. She got Laurel's DNA, which turns out to be a perfect match.

Felicity finally realizes that this is Laurel from Earth-2, Black Siren, who should be imprisoned in Star Labs. She was apparently set free by Prometheus to help him fight against Oliver.

Oliver meets with Laurel at the statue of Black Canary after she called him and said that she was being forced to do Prometheus' commands. A fight ensues when Felicity orders the rest of the team to attack should Laurel double-cross Oliver. Laurel was sedated and brought back to the Arrow cave, only to escape during a power outage after Felicity tells her that she will not believe her like Oliver did.

The team track Black Siren to a warehouse where Prometheus and Black Siren attack the team. A fight ensues and they were able to stop Black Canary's power through Curtis' dampener and she is now being held by Argus after being punched by Felicity, who she tried to kill

Meanwhile, Diggle, who was imprisoned, is being helped by Chase in his case. They figured out how to stop General Walker from transferring Diggle by having him punch Chase, leading Chase to charge him with assault, which will delay his transfer.

At the end of the episode of "Arrow," after Oliver tells Felicity that he wants to fulfill his promise to Laurel of finding the next Black Canary, a scene shows a woman, played by Tina Boland using Sonic Scream. Heroic Hollywood says that she will in the next episodes of the show, but it is unclear if she will be the next Black Canary.
