KKTV reports that a Colorado house was nearly cut in half after a plane crashed on it. On Monday, the plane reportedly crashed into a residential area, exploded in flames and the plane's pilot survives crash on Northglenn home. Astonishingly and apart from the pilot, no one else was seriously injured.

The story was made more amazing because of the time of day the incident happened. According to the Associated Press, the single-engine plane suffered a mechanical problem at exactly 3:45 p.m. Monday when it was forced to land. North Metro Fire Rescue officials reported that no one was home at the time of impact.

The plane was reportedly pulling a Geico Insurance banner over the Denver suburb of Northglenn when the mechanical issues began. According to KCNC station, the pilot survives crash on Northglenn home when he cut the banner loose and tried to land in a field, but crashed into a house instead.

According to the neighbors of the house where the crash happened, the pilot survives crash on Northglenn home, climbed out of the plane and had just a few face cuts to boot.

Next door neighbor Lydia Chavez told KCNC, "It [the plane] just exploded so fast. I don't know how he got out."

Another neighbour named Mike Papp said he heard "buzzing and then a loud boom" when the plane hit the house. Papp knew the family whose home was hit, but not very well.

The Associated Press reports that the fire from the wreckage and the fire to the home were both put out quickly. However, he said he was fine and opted to go the police station instead so that he could file a report.

KCNC reports that he spent a long time explaining at the police station, but it's unclear whether he will face any charges.
