Not every flight crew member that tries humor is funny. Another Southwest Airlines pilot gave a shot at comedy while trying to entertain passengers but he failed to make them laugh.

A video called "Wacky Captain" was posted to YouTube, showing a pilot failing to keep passengers entertained before take-off. The male pilot took to the mic with some jokes as paperwork for the flight was being prepared. However he may have been better off not trying and sticking strictly to flying.

The unidentified captain started his routine by saying "Actually, I have been here all week," before he broke into a joke about the 50's US Sitcom I Dream of Jeannie.

"I found a slot machine I fell in love with, it's called I Dream Of Jeannie," he said. "You put a dollar in the slot machine and the first thing it says in Barbara Eden's voice is 'Hello master'.  I took a hundred dollar bill out of my pocket and said 'change,' and sat there one at a time ... 'hello master, hello master.' Of course, my wife came up to me and said, 'Honey, I'll call you master', And I said 'you will?' and she said, 'Sure, give me a hundred dollars."

A passenger responds by groaning to which the captain says "There goes the shoes."

Despite the lack of response, the pilot goes on and tells a story about how his wife buys three pairs of shoes at a time. No one found that funny either.
He then tries the I Dram of Jeannie joke again and speaks of a "bonus" round in which he managed to get a coin in Jeannie's bottle on the slot machine.

"Every time you got a bottle, Jeannie would say 'yes' and each time would be a little more excitement in her voice. So if you got three bottles, it would be 'yes, yes, yes' - I prayed for the fourth bottle."

The man filming the pilot responded by raising his drink in his hand.

The captain continues with the joke saying,  "Then when you're all done losing your money, in true fashion, you cash out, and she says 'bye bye now'."
Finally he finishes the failed comedy routine by saying, "Welcome on board."
