A Canadian couple reportedly engaged in a sexual act on an Air Canada flight in January.

Jason George Chase, 39, and Alicia Elizabeth Lander, 25, said they were not guilty on Tuesday of committing an indecent act right in their seats during the day time flight from Toronto to Halifax. The flight took less than two hours but the couple couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

The pair was arrested on January 24 after the plane landed at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The exact details of the sex act were not revealed by the Royal Canadian Mountain Police but the couple wasn't having intercourse. It is not clear if the pair was actually a couple or if they had just met, but it looked like they hadn't known each other long. Lander is from the small community of West Porters Lake, Nova Scotia and Chase is from Halifax.

According to The Chronicle Herald, sources said that Chase's wife was waiting for him at the airport when the plane landed. The duo were also met by Mounties at the gate. When they arrived, Lander allegedly became verbally abusive and kicked one of the officers. For that, she faces additional charges of causing a disturbance, assaulting a police officer, and property mischief.

The two did not appear in court on Tuesday but their defense lawyers did to enter the pleas on their behalf. They pled not guilty. A trial has been set for January 21, 2015.

Lander's lawyer, Lyle Howe, spoke to CBC News about his client's decision to plead not guilty, "We've reviewed the paperwork and we've decided that that's what we were going to enter as our plea." He said, according to CBC, "Any time somebody is alleged to have committed a criminal offense is a difficult ordeal."
