Thailand cosmetic surgery industry is on the rise. This fact is apparent especially back in 2012 when nearly 1 million medical tourists went to Thailand for cosmetic surgery services such as hip replacements, and dental treatments.

Thailand's Tourism Authority used this information to their advantage by using Thailand cosmetic surgery to attract tourists to the country. They have launched an Extreme Makeover contest which offers three lucky ladies a chance to win free facial surgery coupled with a shot at $5,000 and a luxury vacation.

Interested tourists will have to submit photos showing their face from various angles, along with a health profile and written explanation of why they want to get a makeover so badly.

The judging committee will be made up of medical experts and surgeons. They will pick the three winners and finalists will be announced on May 7 for the Thailand cosmetic surgery.

The entry guidelines may seem harmless, but this is just a preview of your requirements once you have entered the contest. By the duration of the contest, the chosen 3 have to let all their insecurities be showcased to the world by posting them online through videos and photos uploaded to the Extreme Makeover website while they are in Thailand for the cosmetic surgery.

The public will ultimately decide which one of the 3 deserves to win the cash prize along with a new face. The contender with the largest number of votes gets the $5,000 in cash and a luxury tour package.

The rules of the Extreme Makeover Contest says that the contest is open to non-Thai women between 25 and 45 years old who are able to stay in the country for the Thailand cosmetic surgery contest for a month.

The official competition video uses the handle "ultimate beauty" given through a "life changing opportunity" that will make the contestants' "dreams into a reality."

Thailand cosmetic surgery rising shows it is just another example of the country's government giving full support to the increase of its constituents' successful business ventures.
