Super Bowl 2014 is almost here and with the two out-of-state teams playing in New Jersey this year, fans are going to have to fly across the country for the big game. Several airlines are already offering extra flight to the New York area but Alaska Airlines has come up with a completely unique flight promotion for the big game.

Alaska Airlines is having its own tailgate. It is hosting a special Super Bowl party flight to and from Newark Liberty International Airport. Newark is the closest airport to MetLife Stadium, where Super Bowl XLVIII will be taking place on Feb. 2.

Even better, all of the Alaska Airlines special flight tickets are free. They will be given away during a four-day sweepstakes being held on the Alaska Airlines Facebook page. Alaska Airlines is based in Seattle, which is also home to the Seattle Seahawks who are in this year's Super Bowl.

According to the airline, 56 winners will be chosen to receive a package that includes two round-trip tickets to Newark and two night's hotel accommodation in New York City.

To add to the celebration, the airline will be painting the Boeing 737 that will be making the Feb. 1 flight, giving it a special theme dedicated to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The flight returns the day after Super Bowl on Feb. 3.
The only thing that isn't included in the package are tickets to the big game.

Tickets are going for thousands of dollars and are hard to come by, but fans can still enjoy it through an exclusive game day party at a midtown Manhattan venue that Alaska Air passengers are invited to.

The sweepstakes is open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 26. It is only open to residents of Washington, Oregon and Alaska. These are the states where Alaska Airlines holds its biggest presence. The airline operates hubs in Seattle and Portland and has a large network in Alaska.
