A Delta flight attendant was arrested for being drunk on the job this week. The 58-year-old Nancy Bray was three times the legal limit for alcohol in her system when she tried to board a flight.

Bray was supposed to work a flight from Blue Grass Airport to Detroit on Tuesday. However paramedics were called to help her when she got sick. Police found that she was heavily intoxicated as she registered a .258 blood alcohol level. They also found prescription drugs on her that weren't in their original bottles, the Daily Mail reports.

Due to her arrest, the flight was delayed for two hours. Bray was way over the limit as according to Kentucky state law, the maximum blood alcohol level is 0.04 percent. Crew members are not allowed to consume alcohol eight hours before a flight.

Delta released a statement following the arrest saying that they will cooperate with the investigation.

"Delta expects consummate professionalism from all parties who are entrusted with the care of transport of our customers," the airline said according to the Daily Mail.

Passengers at the airport the following day were surprised to hear about the arrest.

Passengers at the airport on Wednesday were shocked to hear about the flight attendant's arrest.

"My first thought was that's amazing, they know what the rules are and I feel sorry for the passengers that were unnecessarily delayed and had to be re-booked on other flights," traveler David Leep told WHAS 11.

Bray was released on bond on Wednesday. She made her first court appearance later that day and pleaded not guilty to charges of "being an aircrew member under the influence" as well as possession of a controlled substance.

This isn't Bray's first alcohol-related offense. She was also arrested in Florida in 2010 for a DUI.
