Hilton Worldwide has reached an agreement that will allow its rebranding of the historic Concorde Opéra hotel under its tutelage to its Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand this 2014.

According to Breaking Travel News, the Paris-based iconic hotel is now under the Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe IV, and it is to undergo major transformation and rebranding into Hilton Paris Opera hotel in late 2014.

A significant investment programme has already been planned so that the restoration of the 124-year-old landmark will smoothly be realized.

"Paris has long been considered one of the world's great tourist destinations, in part due to its rich architectural and cultural history, "Global Head Hilton Hotels & Resorts Rob Palleschi said. "This hotel is renowned for its intricate façade and today's agreement will pair one of Paris' best known buildings with our signature hotel brand."

"We're excited to be creating a Hilton hotel of exceptional quality in the Hilton Paris Opéra," Palleschi added.

The expansion of Hilton Worldwide in Paris is expected to boost its market there.

The soon-to-be rebranded landmark is located just minutes away from The Louvre, the Sacré Cœur and the Arc de Triomphe. It is also very accessible to the second largest rail station, the Gare Saint Lazare, which is used by about 100 million passengers yearly.

"The new Hilton Paris Opéra will take advantage of a premium location, and will complement our existing Hilton Hotels & Resorts at La," Senior Vice President, Development, Europe & Africa Hilton Worldwide, Patrick Fitzgibbon said.
