Traveling over the holidays? You may be able to have free access to Facebook on certain flights.

In-flight Wi-Fi provider GoGo has partnered up with Charmin to offer a special promotion to travelers on flight from Dec. 23 through Dec. 30. The promotion allows customers to browse Facebook for free as they fly. It only applies to airlines that carry GoGo in-flight WiFi and those that are participating in the promotion. Others will have to pay for the service. These airlines include North American carriers such as AirTran, American, Alaska Air, Delta, Frontier, United and US Airways, USA Today reports.

Regular in-flight WiFi is not free, but passengers flying on the airlines listed above can access the promotion by going to the GoGo log-in page. There is a notification saying that Charmin is offering a free browsing session on Facebook.

The promotion is a great way to keep kids busy while traveling or for other passengers to be able to stay connected with their family and friends while they fly over the holidays.

In addition to offering free Facebook, GoGo also recently partnered with the Weather Channel to give travelers the ability to access Weather.com and Weather Underground during their flight. The partnership between Gogo and The Weather Channel will allow passengers to access up to date weather information on their smartphone, tablet or laptop for their destination city or any city they choose. All passengers have to do is launch their browser and head to the Weather.com Web site. They will be able to access the site in flight without paying for an Internet session. This promotion is not limited to the holidays.
