A passenger was forcibly removed from a Spirit Airlines flight because he wouldn't stop screaming and saying there was a bomb on the plane.

A man on Spirit Airline Flight 404 from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., started going crazy out of nowhere. He began screaming and said the plane had a bomb. Flight attendants and the pilot had to keep the other passengers calm during the ordeal before the flight landed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The incident was caught on video by another passenger, WSBTV reports.

"There's a bomb on the plane! If she takes me off, I'll blow the (expletive) plane up," the man could be heard saying on the video as police officers removed him from the jet.

The pilot called ahead to have police meet the jet after it landed. He said that a passenger had outburtsts throughout the whole flight to Atlanta. It got so bad that the man was throwing items at other passengers.

Flight attendants tried to keep passengers calm and they seemed to cooperate. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's imperative that everyone remain seated with their seat belts fastened. Please sit down, thank you," said a flight attendant on the video.

The pilot addressed the passengers after Atlanta police removed the unruly man.

"Folks, it will just be a few more minutes, please remain seated. We'll let you know. I appreciate everyone's cooperation. I want to sincerely apologize to everyone on board that airplane today for that," the pilot said.

Police had to force the man off of the plane.  They concluded that he was mentally ill or had some sort of psychotic breakdown. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation following the incident.

Spirit Airlines says no one was hurt and nothing dangerous was found on the plane. Police do not have plans on charging the plan with any crime. His name has not been released.
