Prince Harry may be next in line for a royal wedding, according to the Daily Mirror. The British paper reports that the prince is expected to propose to his girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, with the next few weeks.

"Harry hasn't proposed yet, but it's only a matter of time," a member of the couple's social circle told the Daily Mirror.

Harry, at 29, is reportedly interested in settling down and wanting to be taken more seriously as a member of the royal family after some of his recent exploits, such as nude photos of him taken in a hotel room in Las Vegas, have made him more of a punch line.

"At one point it seemed he wasn't over Chelsy Davy and didn't want a serious relationship, but after meeting Cressida, he suspected she would be the one," the friend said. "She also appears to have come round to that thinking."

In the royal household, it is reported that Cressida is beginning to receive the same treatment that Kate Middleton received prior to her engagement to William, including palace aides becoming aware of the fact that she needs to be conscious of her rising public profile.

"Seeing William and Kate get married, settle down and have a baby has had a real effect on Harry - he's seen how happy they are and realizes he wants it too," the friend added.

Cressida is the daughter of the banking heiress Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon and the entrepreneur Jeffrey Bonas.

"Palace staff can't be seen to be formally acting for Cressida," a royal observer told the Daily Mirror. "However, they recognize a duty of care towards someone so seriously involved with a senior member of the Windsor's.

"They're making a conscious effort to ensure she is looked after and protected, following the Kate Middleton model," the observer added.
