New York City hotel rooms can be expensive but some are completely outrageous. The most expensive hotel room in the Big Apple costs a whopping $40,000 per night.

NewYorkHotels.org released a report with a list of the 10 most expensive hotel suites in Manhattan. The rankings were determined on the average rate at each establishment throughout the month of September.

The most expensive hotel room, at $40,000 per night, is the Ty Warner Penthouse Suite, at the Four Seasons Hotel. For $40K a night, guests get to experience luxuries such as sweeping views of Manhattan in every direction, bathroom sinks made of solid rock crystal blocks and a personal butler who is on call 24 hours a day. Guests also have access to a personal Maybach or Rolls-Royce with a chauffeur of course.

The second most expensive hotel room is only $5,000 cheaper at $35,000. The second most expensive is the Presidential Suite as the St. Regis. Someone who stays in this room can brag that they stayed in the same suite as Salvador Dali, Babe Paley and Marilyn Monroe. The third most expensive hotel room, at $30,000 per night, is The Plaza's Royal Plaza Suite. This room is inspired by the ambiance of Louis XV's royal court
