The royal baby due date is looming and photographers are already lined up outside the hospital.

Prince William is now on standby at an air force base in north Wales, reports Reuters and ready to rush back to London if his wife goes into labor.

"The couple have remained vague about the exact date the baby is due other than to say mid-July and the arrival will be announced in a combination of the traditional and modern - via Twitter, websites and with a notice outside Buckingham Palace," reported Reuters.

The baby will be born in a wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London in a private wing called the Lindo wing. It's the same hospital that Prince William and Prince Harry were born.

The managing Editor of Majesty Magazine, Joe Little, said to Reuters about the couple that privacy was a major concern for them.

"Privacy is key for Prince William as he saw the way his mother, Princess Diana, suffered at the hands of the paparazzi, and he wants to make sure this does not happen to his wife or his own children," Little told Reuters.

The baby will be third in line to the throne, which makes Prince Harry fourth in line.

"The baby is due to be delivered by Marcus Setchell, the Queen's former gynecologist, in the private wing where a normal delivery costs 4,965 pounds ($7,400) and each extra night around 1,000 pounds," reported Reuters.

The baby's gender is still unknown but there is speculation that the baby may be a girl as Middleton said in March "Thank you, I will take that for my d..." and then correcting herself.

Princess Kate Middleton may use hypnotherapy in her birthing plans, reported The New York Daily News. Hynobirthing is a birthing technique which focuses on the idea that anxiety and fear of birthing will make it more painful and last longer.

A  source said to Grazia Magazine, "Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so hypno-birthing is one option that appealed and she had been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind."
