Tom Cruise whisked his daughter with Katie Holmes, Suri, on a private plane to White Sulphur Springs last weekend, reported MSN.

The 50-year-old actor brought Suri, 7, on his own, personal plane so they could spend quality time together at The Greenbrier in Greenbrier County, West Virginia which is a luxurious private resort.

The New York Post reported that the father-daughter duo spent time on the grounds of the hotel in a private cottage. The hotel is a favorite among other celebrities and US Presidents.

Tom frequently takes Suri on luxurious trips away from her home in New York, where she lives with her mother, Katie Homes. Last summer Tom took Suri on a mini vacation to East Hampton for a beach day.

According to US Weekly Cruise and his daughter chartered a helicopter back to New York in the mid afternoon and later that night Holmes took Suri to her gymnastics class in New York's Chelsea Piers.

A source told US Weekly that Holmes, who is now renting an apartment in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, will have primary custody of their daughter. Yet another source told US Weekly that Cruise is trying to stay as involved as possible in Suri's life. "He adores Suri, but now he's afraid he won't be able to have a close relationship with her," the source said to US Weekly.

When Holmes delivered divorce papers to Cruise it meant that he didn't get to spend time with Suri on his 50 birthday. Post divorce papers, Cruise was spotted  with Suri on July 17. According to his lawyers Cruise hasn't seen his daughter until this week because of filming commitments.

"He's going to try, despite all the attention, to have things be as normal as possible," a source at the time told People magazine. The source also said that due to Cruise's hectic schedule it will be challenging but,  he's going to have a meaningful relationship with her, as he always has."
