Under new regulations in Dubai, two more women-only days have been launched on their beaches. The Dubai Municipality has launched the women-only days on two popular beaches-Jumeirah Beach Park and Al Mamzar Beach Park.

CNN.com reported that Monday and Wednesday will be designated as women only at Jumeirah and Sunday and Tuesday will be designated at Al Mamzar.

Now, only males under the age of four will be allowed. The Dubai based Khaleej Times reported that even the lifeguards and park staff will be female on the allotted days.

"The move is part of the civic body's plan to make the leisure destinations more women-friendly to encourage them into more physical activities and keep fit," said the Khaleej Times.

Despite the move, bikinis are still under strict dress code and limited to beach areas only. CNN.com reported that the Municipality has also now separated areas by activity including sun-bathing and barbecuing.

AOL TRAVEL rom today, Dubai will offer two women-only days per week at two of its beach parks, with no males above the age of four allowed entry.

"The Dubai Municipality Parks and Horticulture Department announced plans to create more women-only days earlier this month. Their intention is to make the beach areas more woman-friendly, to encourage women to be more active and keep fit," reported AOL Travel.

According to the BBC, some young Emirati women started a campaign on twitter that urged tourists to cover up in public places called #UAEDressCode.

AOL Travel reported that some women even suggested setting up a police department so they could complain about clothing that is inappropriate.

"Dubai weather can get hot, particularly during the summer months, and it can be tempting to wear beach apparel to restaurants near the beach," reported USA Today. "To show respect for the local Muslim culture and to avoid unwanted attention, you should put on clothes to cover up your swim wear when eating meals or drinking away from the beach or pool. You do not need to cover up entirely; sun dresses and shorts are widely worn in Dubai. Women wearing tank tops or spaghetti-strap dresses should bring a shawl or scarf to cover their shoulders."
