It is a time when most Hollywood women try to turn back time (Cher) and get in touch with their youthful self, but for the 41-year-old co-host of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," Brooke Burke-Charvet isn't shy about showing her true age.

The 40s are a reality check," Burke-Charvet, 41, told Health. "I would like to slow down my aging process, but I don't want to look like a pumpkin, all swollen! I don't want to fill every flaw in my face. A few?" she laughed. "

Adding, "it's unnatural to look decades younger than you are," hear that "Real Housewives Of Hollywood."

These comments appear to make Burke-Charvet one of the few and proud, "fine with who they really are" crowd.

"You have to embrace Mother Nature a little," the model and dancer says. "I'm a woman. I'm a wife. I'm a mother of four. I don't want to look like a 25-year-old anymore. I want to be my best healthy self," she said, reported Health.

To be healthy, she keeps everything in balance.

"Dance through the chaos. Breathe through everything," Burke-Charvet advised. " I've got four kids-including a 13-year-old going on 30-and this is my second marriage. I know there's not going to be balance in every day, so I don't beat myself up. I'm an idealist; I strive and dream big. But I focus on the stuff that really matters, and I let everything else roll off. Truly, truly, truly,"

Another big part of the Health interview was about her cancer scare last year, which caused her to undergo a thyroidectomy in December.

"Getting my diagnosis through a routine physical was pretty shocking," she says, "and a pretty important message for everyone to just be responsible enough to get regular checkups, to take care of your health, to be a good patient and to follow up."
