Traveling to different places works best if you will be daring and adventurous. Why? Because as you go on, you will meet a lot of people and different cultures. You need to adjust and adapt to their lifestyle in your short stay within their place.

Exploring food stalls and restaurants is one of the main attractions that each tour offers. You get to experience eating an extraordinary kind of food which will either tickle your taste buds or make you ask for more.

Thailand, for example, offers a variety of exotic food. Let me give you some ideas about these exceptional cuisines from the Land of Smiles.

Dare to Try Something New

If you really want to enjoy your stay in Thailand, you need to try their exotic food. They are mostly found on the streets through people carrying carts that sell these stuff.

One of the rare specialties is serving scorpions for they are very hard to find. They still need to collaborate with other suppliers to look for them. Others are larvae, bamboo worms, grasshoppers, and crickets that you can choose out of all the variety of insects they sell.

Tourists gathered around these carts at night to buy out of curiosity while some people just take photos. Once you have ordered, the seller will put the insects in a bag and dash it with their special sauce and pepper. They also put herbs to make it tasteful while frying into the pan.

Only the brave ones dare to try and eat these insects because you might find it awful to even look at the appearance of this strange food. Nevertheless, the experience is worth the try.

Treat Yourself with a New Taste

To fill in your curiosity, here's a heads up to give ideas on what this exotic food actually tastes like.

Bamboo worms. They are known as "rod duan" or express train. Looking crunchy, but inside it is soft and gooey. Some say it tastes like grilled corn or cheese.

Larvae. They taste like nutty mushrooms when roasted. They can be cooked in different ways. They can be sautéed, fried, boiled and can be eaten as raw.

Grasshoppers. When fried, they taste like sardines. Deep-fried hoppers are very tasty and crunchy. Chew them very well because they tend to be hard and can get stuck inside your throat.

Crickets. Fry them until crispy, and you will get the taste of popcorn or nuts while deep-fried crickets taste like fried potatoes with a trace of shrimp. They are also a good source of protein too.

Scorpions. Try to think of crispy French fries. That's how it tastes when fried. The benefit of eating scorpions is surprising because it consists of 50% more protein. It can also be roasted, dried, and sautéed. It can also be eaten live by cutting off its stingers and dip down to some wine.

Being adventurous has excellent benefits. You'll have a good view of the whole trip. Trying to eat this exotic food is one of the ways to satisfy your curiosity, interest, and answer what-ifs.

Thailand will surely teach you how to set your spirit free and enjoy their food as much as other tourists do upon landing off to this fascinating country.
