President Barack Obama hinted on Valentine's Day that his older daughter, Malia, may be dating.

On Thursday, Obama publically said that as his children get older, "they have sleepovers and dates," indicating that 14-year-old Malia may have a first boyfriend, The Daily Mail reported.

The White House did not comment to The Daily Mail about the subject, as the first family have tried to keep their daughters out of the spotlight. ABC News reported that both the president and the first lady have discussed in recent interviews the possibility of their daughters dating the future, but neither has officially confirmed a relationship.

When Obama visited a school in Decatur, Ga., he spoke about the challenges of parenting. "I do have to warn the parents who are here, who still have young kids, they grow up to be, like five feet 10 inches," he said, according to ABC News. "And even if they're still nice to you, they basically don't have a lot of time for you during the weekends."

Amid the rumors about Malia and a potential suitor, Obama said during his talk in Georgia that he was doing his part to treat his wife Michelle on Valentine's Day.

"I've already got a gift, got the flowers," he said, according to The Daily Mail. "I was telling folks, the flowers are a little easier, though, because I got this rose garden. A lot of people, you know, keeping flowers around," he joked.

He had traveled to Georgia to promote his new plan to provide universal access to pre-kindergarten programs, a point he emphasized in his State of the Union Address.

But he didn't stay there long, The Daily Mail reported -- he told the crowd that he promised his wife "to get back in time for our date tonight. That's important."
